Some melodies you know before you know who wrote them. You heard them at the cinema, in a series, in a video you couldn’t stop watching. A few repeated notes, a piano, strings slowly rising: this is the music that accompanies our most intimate moments.

Einaudi & the Sound of Cinema brings these melodies to the stage, played live by the United Soloists Orchestra in original arrangements. At its heart is Ludovico Einaudi, the most-streamed Italian composer in the world, with Nuvole Bianche, Una Mattina, Fly and Experience. Alongside him, the pages that shaped contemporary film music: Hans Zimmer’s Cornfield Chase from Interstellar, Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight from Arrival, and Yann Tiersen’s waltz from Amélie. The programme is completed by the melodies of Yiruma that have won over millions of listeners.

Please note: Ludovico Einaudi will not be present at the concert. The entire concert is performed by the United Soloists Orchestra.

About us

Described by the press as “the ensemble that revolutionizes music in Europe” (Ticino Welcome), the United Soloists Orchestra is a Swiss symphonic ensemble founded in 2017 in Ticino. It brings together young virtuoso soloists from the continent’s most prestigious institutions – including the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Teatro alla Scala and the Royal Concertgebouw – to create a sound critics have praised as being of the “highest technical level”, with a “mature, solid and highly expressive” character (Cremona Sera).

Radically different from a traditional ensemble, the project is celebrated for breaking down the barriers between musical genres. Reviewers have described its performances as an “explosion of life” (laRegione), where artistic excellence serves the joy of listening. In its unique programming, Beethoven converses with the Bee Gees and Tchaikovsky embraces Coldplay, creating an atmosphere where, as the media put it, “it’s not just music: it’s magic!” (Ticino Welcome).
