Vanesa Gherman Abacioaie brings USO a performance Master’s from Lugano, stand-violin experience across Europe, and a teaching-focused musical voice.
Vanesa Gherman Abacioaie is a violinist with United Soloists Orchestra, bringing a Master of Performance from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (class of Maestro Klaidi Sahatci), with honours.
Her academic path includes a Master in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (2018–2019), and earlier studies at the Hogeschool Zuyd Konservatorium Maastricht (class of Maestro Boris Belkin). She also holds a diploma di violino with specialisation in Musicista di orchestra from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” (class of Prof.ssa Mariana Sirbu), plus a Bachelor in Musicology at Universität Leipzig.
In orchestral work, she has been in the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria as second and then first stand (from 2019 and 2016–2017 respectively), and previously served as stand violin/added violin across several engagements including Oper Leipzig (2012–2013) and Orchestra Filarmónica de Gran Canaria (2008–2016). She has also recorded with Deutsche Grammophon via the chamber orchestra Concerto Malaga (2012).
Beyond performance, Vanesa Gherman Abacioaie is active in teaching—since 2019 as a titular lecturer at the Academia de música de la OFGC—supporting USO’s crossover repertoire with both musical and pedagogical depth.
