Silvia Comin is a USO violist shaped by her viola studies in Vicenza and Strasburgo, with orchestral experience from Sala Santa Cecilia to Vienna’s Musikverein.
Silvia Comin is a violist with United Soloists Orchestra, with a foundation shaped by her viola diploma from the Conservatorio A. Pedrollo di Vicenza under Matteo Rocchi.
She continued her studies at the Académie Supérieure de Musique di Strasburgo with Jean Christophe Garzia and Benjamin Boura. Her training also includes orchestral formation with Leon Spierer, masterclasses with Tobias Lea, Davide Zaltron, Giovanni Petrella, Matteo Rocchi and Antonello Farulli, and the Altschuler Summer Music Institute (2023) with musicians including Dylana Jenson, Fred Sherry and David Lockington. In 2024 she was admitted to the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo, later earning a further diploma at the Conservatorio di Vicenza with Ilario Gastaldello, and completing additional development in Cremona with Francesco Fiore.
Since 2014/2015, she has collaborated as a violist with ensembles including Orchestra Sinfonica delle Alpi, Venice Chamber Orchestra, and the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico, performing in venues such as Sala Santa Cecilia in Rome and the Sala Dorata of the Musikverein in Vienna. More recently, she has worked as viola di fila—as concertino at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma—with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, the Fondazione Arena di Verona and Opera Carlo Felice of Genoa. Since September 2025, she teaches viola at Liceo A. Pigafetta in Vicenza.
For USO’s crossover repertoire, Comin brings an agile, performance-focused background across orchestral settings and major concert halls.
