Marta Mastrullo, viola at USO, won the 2025 Association Italiana della Viola competition—grant and solo concerto—and balances orchestra leadership with chamber work.
Marta Mastrullo is a violist with United Soloists Orchestra, recognized in November 2025 as the winner of the Association Italiana della Viola competition, with a study grant and a solo concerto with orchestra.
Born in Rome, she began studying violin and viola in 2013 under Ilona Bálint. In 2025, she earned her Diploma accademico di I livello in Viola with top marks and honors at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, studying with Luca Sanzò. Since 2025, she has continued her further studies at Accademia Perosi with Danilo Rossi, and is currently in the first year of her Master in Performance at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, also guided by Rossi.
From 2014 to 2020, she was a member of the JuniOrchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, frequently serving as First viola. She started her chamber music activity in 2017, with early experiences at Avos Project.
For USO’s crossover repertoire, Mastrullo brings a blend of orchestral leadership, chamber practice, and continuous refinement under the same musical line.
