Corno Inglese
Filippo Chinnici is USO’s English horn, shaped by early ensemble wins and refined through conservatory training with Alessio Allegrini.
Filippo Chinnici, English horn with United Soloists Orchestra (USO), began his English horn path at the age of eleven and advanced through formal study at the Conservatorio “V. Bellini” in Palermo under Maestro Tommaso Santangelo.
He studied with Maestro Tommaso Santangelo at the Conservatorio “V. Bellini” di Palermo. He later completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music with Maestro Alessio Allegrini at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (graduating June 2023), and then began a Master of Arts in Music Performance there under the same guidance.
In February 2017, he won the audition for the “Kids Orchestra” project at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, receiving the role of principal horn. He has also participated in international music camps and masterclasses led by musicians including Massimo La Rosa and Dale Clevenger, and in summer 2019 he took part in the Italian Brass Week, studying with Dale Clevenger, Eric Terwilliger, Luca Benucci, Arkady Shilkloper, and Giovanni Hoffer.
For USO’s crossover work, Chinnici brings a development shaped by competitive ensemble experience, intensive masterclass training, and orchestral collaboration across a range of settings.
