Alessandro Di Verde is USO’s bass trombonist: jazz-linked collaborations, orchestral work in Italy, and First Trombone leadership on a China tour.
Alessandro Di Verde is a USO Bass Trombone player, with a second-level Trombone diploma from the Conservatorio Guido Cantelli di Novara.
He earned his first-level academic diploma at the Conservatorio Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo in 2022 under M° G. Bonanno. His studies also include masterclasses with Vincent Lepape, Jamie Williams, Bart Claessens and Enzo Turriziani, and further guidance with M° Gianluca Scipioni.
Di Verde has collaborated with multiple Sicilian musical organizations, including Palermo Classica Symphony Orchestra and the orchestra of Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese. In 2022 he worked with the fondazione The Brass Group Orchestra Jazz Siciliana and artists such as Tom Seals, Max Gazzè, Dave Weckl, Paolo Fresu and Simona Molinari. In December 2025 and January 2026 he performed as First Trombone on a tour in the People’s Republic of China, appearing in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Shunde, Heyuan and Guangzhou.
For USO’s crossover work, he brings a performance profile shaped by jazz-oriented collaborations, orchestral experience, and demanding lead responsibilities.
