Biography
Nicola Tallone, a Swiss cellist, graduated in Cello from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan with Christian Bellisario and obtained a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy from the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano with Enrico Dindo, after attending the advanced training course at the "Walter Stauffer Foundation" Academy in Cremona with Rocco Filippini. With his string quartet "Intime Voci," he deepens his knowledge of chamber music at the Basel Music Academy with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet). Since 2014, he has been an added member of the OSI (Orchestra of Italian Switzerland). Since 2017, he has been the Artistic Director of Primavera Musicale – a music festival organized by the Silarte Association that brings together artists from different genres. Passionate about cinema, particularly film scores, Nicola began composing electronic music in 2020 and released the album NiT SOLO (2023) across all online music platforms. He passionately teaches cello at the Music School of the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland (sections in Locarno and Bellinzona) and at the Biasca Music School.
