Biography

Elisa Netzer is a Swiss harpist on a mission to bring the harp to the center of the stage, building a bridge between the audience and the captivating sound universe she presents. Described as an "extraordinary talent" (BBC Music Magazine) and an "artist with incredible technique, sound, and expression" (The Classic Review), Elisa Netzer is a Swiss harpist who is constantly conquering the stage. In recent seasons, she was the first harpist to debut as a soloist at the prestigious Lucerne Festival and represented Switzerland at the World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. She has given recitals across Europe, Russia, Brazil, and China, performing as a soloist with various ensembles, including the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Benacus Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the City of Vigevano, the Parma Chamber Orchestra, and the Arturo Toscanini Symphony Orchestra. Since 2016, she has collaborated with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, and has participated as a guest in the productions of the Luxembourg Philharmonie, Malta Symphony Orchestra, Foroya Symfoniorkestur, Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, Crescendo Zürich Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of Asti. A student of Judith Liber, Skaila Kanga, and Fabrice Pierre, Elisa Netzer obtained a bachelor's degree with honors from the Conservatorio di Parma, a master's degree with distinction from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, a second-level master's degree from the Conservatorio di Milano, and a master's in music pedagogy from the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana. She has also won numerous national and international competitions, including the Guy McGrath Harp Prize (UK), the Schweizerische Jugend Musik Wettbewerb (CH), the Suoni d'arpa competition, and the best awarded competition of Italian conservatories. Her first recording work, Toccata, was released by Naxos International in 2018 and received praise from critics and the public. Always seeking sincere and innovative ways to bring classical music closer to as many people as possible through the presentation of her concerts, articles, and radio/TV appearances, since 2016 she has been co-hosting the Paganini program, a cultural dissemination program and classical music show aired on the Swiss Italian Language Television (RSI). Since 2022, she has been collaborating with the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, where she is co-responsible for the Performance area.
