Who We Are
The United Soloists Orchestra is a Swiss symphony orchestra founded in 2017 in Ticino. It brings together young virtuoso soloists from Europe's most prestigious orchestras who have chosen to build a radically different project together: an orchestra where the boundaries between musical genres do not exist and where artistic excellence serves the joy of listening, not the other way around.
The orchestra has found the key to making symphonic music truly engaging and culturally relevant for contemporary audiences. Our identity is based on strategic genre fluidity, combining classical masterpieces with high-quality symphonic arrangements of pop and rock pieces.
Our Philosophy
We want to open the doors of orchestral music to everyone. We believe that no one should feel excluded from the beauty of a live orchestra simply because they think classical music is "boring" or "not for me". This is why we break down the barriers between genres: in a single evening, Beethoven dialogues with the Bee Gees, Mozart with 70s disco, Tchaikovsky with Coldplay.
This is not crossover as a commercial gimmick—it is an artistic statement about what orchestral music can represent in the 21st century. Every piece—whether a Romantic symphony or an orchestral arrangement of a pop hit—receives the same commitment to musical integrity and virtuosic performance. Popular music is elevated, not simplified. The classics remain vital, not mummified.
Under the musical direction of Arseniy Shkaptsov, we continue to explore new possibilities for symphonic music. We are not trying to save classical music. We are building something new that respects the classical tradition while rejecting its limits.
