Hire an Orchestra for Your Corporate Event — the Symphonic Disco Show That Gets the Whole Room Dancing
Symphonic Disco is United Soloists Orchestra's own crossover format, built to get a whole room on its feet. It's a real orchestra — up to 25 musicians playing disco, pop and Latin classics in symphony — booked for corporate galas, company parties and private celebrations across Switzerland. Not a playback act: live sound, live energy, guaranteed dancing.
Will it actually get my guests dancing?
Yes — and we have the proof, not just the promise. Symphonic Disco is the format United Soloists Orchestra invented, and the one clients ask for most. It's been reviewed sold-out by the press and it has emptied balconies into the aisles. When 25 musicians hit Mamma Mia live, people get up. Every time.
Here's the honest test any event planner really asks: will the room actually dance? Our answer is a testimonial we're allowed to attribute. After a sold-out Symphonic Disco at the Salle Métropole in Lausanne, the hall's manager put it plainly:
In ten years running this hall, I'd never seen a show like it — the whole room dancing. I thought the balcony would fall down.
The press agrees. Reviewing a sold-out show at the church of S. Francesco in Locarno, Corriere del Ticino called it il piacere della leggerezza — the pleasure of lightness (Mauro Rossi, 19 April 2026).
The setlist that does it
The dancing isn't an accident — it's engineered into the running order. At our sold-out Symphonic Disco in Lugano the room moved through September (Earth, Wind & Fire), Daddy Cool (Boney M.), Funkytown, Mamma Mia and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (ABBA), YMCA, Conga, Volare, Macarena and Livin' la Vida Loca — closing on encores of Sarà perché ti amo and Dragostea din tei.
We've seen the same thing far from home: on our 2024 tour of China, classical programmes ended on ABBA encores — Mamma Mia, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! — and audiences danced to standing ovations. The disco effect travels.
What does the show include, and how big is the orchestra?
A full Symphonic Disco is about 90 minutes of live music for a symphonic ensemble of 25 musicians, playing disco, pop and Latin hits reimagined in symphony. That's the recommended, full-magic version. We can scale the ensemble to your stage and your event — but the bigger the orchestra, the bigger the sound.
Here's how the sizing works in practice:
- Full orchestra (25+) — the complete Symphonic Disco, and what we recommend for galas and larger rooms.
- Reduced disco (16–18 musicians) — possible when the stage genuinely can't hold more, but it loses some of the symphonic magic, so we only suggest it when space forces it.
- Smaller formats for other moments — a string quartet or a jazz band, for example. When it's a proper orchestra, we keep it to at least 12 players.

What does Symphonic Disco cost, and how do I book?
A full Symphonic Disco with the complete orchestra starts from CHF 20,000. That figure covers the performance itself; stage, PA and lighting are quoted separately, because they depend entirely on your venue. Smaller ensembles and background-music sets are priced differently — every event is quoted to your brief.
What changes the price:
- The technical setup — stage build, PA and lighting for the room.
- The ensemble size — full orchestra vs. a smaller configuration.
- Location — where in Switzerland (or beyond) you are.
- Special requests — custom setlist, extra sets, staging ideas.
Because our orchestra is full of busy soloists, timing matters: send your request at least one month before the event, and ideally three to six months ahead, so we can lock the right players. Ready to talk? Request a private quote or email office@uso.swiss — we'll come back with a proposal built around your event. You can also see our other ensemble options on the services page.
Can you tailor it to our event?
Completely. We're not complicated to host — we play almost anywhere, in the language your guests speak, and we shape the evening around your event. You can add a background set from a jazz band or string quartet before the main disco kicks off, so the whole night runs as one music package: welcome, dinner, then the dancefloor.
Corporate galas, product launches, award ceremonies, weddings, milestone birthdays — Symphonic Disco fits them all. We've been trusted by clients including Novartis, Raiffeisen, Interroll, RSI, the City of Lugano, Banca del Sempione, Lugano LIS, Credinvest Bank and Percento Culturale Migros.
A few things clients most often ask us to tailor:
- Ensemble — from a string quartet or jazz band up to the full 25-piece orchestra.
- The evening's flow — background set → dinner music → the full Symphonic Disco.
- The setlist — we'll bend the running order to your crowd and your occasion.
- The room — corporate ballroom, historic venue, private estate; indoor or out.
Frequently asked questions
How many musicians perform in Symphonic Disco?
The recommended full show is a 25-piece symphonic ensemble, and that's where the Symphonic Disco magic lives. If your stage is tight we can bring it down to 16–18 for the disco programme, and for other moments we offer smaller formats — a string quartet or jazz band — with at least 12 players whenever it's a full orchestra.
What are the space and power requirements?
We're easy to host and can play almost anywhere, from ballrooms to historic halls. The exact stage, power, PA and lighting needs depend on your venue and the ensemble size, so we quote them per event. Tell us the room and we'll confirm precisely what it needs.
Can we request specific songs?
Yes. The setlist is a curated selection of disco, pop and Latin classics reimagined in symphony, and we'll happily adjust the running order to match your crowd and occasion. Send us your must-plays when you enquire and we'll build them in where they fit the arrangements.
What languages can you work in?
Our musicians represent 17 nationalities, so we're comfortable hosting an international room and can present the evening in the language your guests speak. Just tell us your audience and we'll adapt.
How far in advance should we book?
At the latest one month before your event — but three to six months ahead is much better. Our players are busy soloists, so early booking secures the full orchestra and the exact line-up you want.
