Victoria Saldarini, cellist with the United Soloists Orchestra, began studying the instrument at the age of 11 with Umberto Pedraglio.
After her classical secondary school studies, she attended a three-year cello course at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Turin and also studied at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, graduating with full marks in Marianna Sinagra’s class. She then earned a Master in Performance (cello), with a focus on chamber music and contemporary music, with top grades at the Musikhochschule in Münster under Matias de Oliveira Pinto.
Her training continued through further advanced study with Enrico Bronzi and Damiano Scarpa at the Fondazione “Santa Cecilia” in Portogruaro, with Stefano Cerrato at the “Dedalo” school in Novara, and ongoing specialization with Luca Magariello at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo. She has worked with conductors including Kolja Blacher, Daniele Rustioni, Simone Bernardini and Zubin Mehta during her time in the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (2019–2020).
In USO’s crossover spirit, Saldarini blends chamber-minded phrasing with a contemporary focus, and contributes actively to the wider cultural ecosystem in Como.
