Filippo Miotello

Filippo Miotello is the drummer (batteria) at United Soloists Orchestra, with an early start—beginning at the age of 9.

Born and raised in Italy, Miotello studied drums with well reknown italian teachers and percussion with renown cuban teachers, shaping a broad musical sensibility.

His career includes performing on cruise ships for about 3 years, and he currently teaches drums to young and old musicians while performing shows in Switzerland and around Europe. He has also played with Andrea Braido and Stefano Bollani.

In USO’s crossover setting, Filippo brings both rhythmic versatility—rooted in Italian and Cuban percussion study—and a movement-focused approach drawn from his work in physical therapy and yoga.
