Doriano Giovanni Maria Di Domenico is an Italian-Swiss violinist, violist and pedagogue, and De Sono Artist 2024 (viola).
He studied for a Master of Arts in Music Performance in Lugano (Pavel Berman, 2020) and for a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy in Lugano (Anna Modesti, 2022). His pedagogy work was developed under the monitoring of Massimo Zicari and Anna Modesti, and was published in Quaderni del Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana - Vol. 2 - Didattica musicale e ricerca - 2022.
As soloist and chamber musician, he appears across European and international seasons including Aletsch Classic Festival, Verdi Off - Teatro Regio di Parma, Viotti Festival and BA Classica. In 2018 he performed J. Haydn in G major for the birth of Orchestra del Borromeo, recorded by Forte?Fortissimo!TV, and in 2025 he served as soloist and concertmaster for a 14-concert China tour with the United Soloists Swiss Orchestra, conducted by Arseny Shkaptzov.
Alongside the Medhelan Duo with pianist Matteo Generani, he focuses on Italian repertoire and contemporary commissions, and brings to USO both a performance approach rooted in chamber craft and an active, research-minded pedagogy.
