Barbara Krüger is a violinist with United Soloists Orchestra, trained through a Diploma in Violin at the Conservatorio G. Verdi-Como and further postgraduate study at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.
Her studies include lessons with S. Holm, M. Quarta, M. Christians and I. Oistrakh.
From 2000 to 2007 she was concertino of the second violins with the Orchestra Sinfonica d'Italia under Lorin Maazel. Between 2010 and 2021 she served as concertino of the first violins and leader (spalla) of the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, She has also played as a soloist with Accademia delle Opere, and collaborated regularly with major Italian and Swiss orchestras including Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, RAI, Santa Cecilia, Toscanini-Parma, Gran Teatro La Fenice Venezia and others.
For USO’s crossover repertoire, Barbara brings orchestral leadership experience and a chamber-music mindset, founding DuoJig in 2010 with Claudio Giacomazzi and later Trio Le Invenzioni with Mattia Zappa.
