Nicola Tallone

Nicola Tallone is the Cello at United Soloists Orchestra, a Swiss cellist who graduated in Cello from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan with Christian Bellisario.

He later obtained a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy from the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano with Enrico Dindo, after advanced training at the “Walter Stauffer Foundation” Academy in Cremona with Rocco Filippini. With his string quartet Intime Voci, he deepens chamber-music knowledge at the Basel Music Academy with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet).

Since 2014, he has been an added member of the OSI (Orchestra of Italian Switzerland). He also teaches in the Conservatorio Music School of Locarno and Bellinzona.

For USO’s crossover work, Tallone brings a chamber-focused musical mindset alongside a modern, genre-crossing perspective—through a 2023 album of electronic music and his work in programming concerts across different genres as President of the Silarte Association (since 2025).
