Oboe
Stefania Abondio’s oboe blends classical training and Baroque focus, with collaboration across major Italian stages and leading artists.
Stefania Abondio is an oboist with United Soloists Orchestra, formed at the Conservatorio “L. Marenzio” in Darfo Boario Terme and studied under M° Andrea Chenna.
She completed the diploma scolastico and later the specialist “Biennio” with excellent marks at I.S.S.M “G. Donizetti” of Bergamo, under M° Marco Ambrosini. She attended the “Musici di Parma” High-Improvement Academy with M° Christoph Hartmann, also attending the Accademia SOLO in Bologna with Francesco Di Rosa. She has since continued her development, including Baroque Oboe studies with P. Grazzi, and currently with L. Stocco at the Scuola Civica di Milano.
Her orchestral collaborations include Teatro alla Scala, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Fondazione Arena di Verona, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, and Fondazione Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, alongside ensembles such as Sentieri Selvaggi and I Cameristi della Scala. She has worked with conductors including F. Luisi, A. Lonquich, and E. Tjeknavorian, and with artists including Leo Nucci and L. Oropesa.
Across this experience, she brings a flexible, stylistic approach—spanning modern and Baroque oboe practice—well suited to USO’s crossover repertoire.
