Biography
Rosset Pascal is the French horn at USO, a freelance horn player who also teaches at the Conservatoire de Zoug in Switzerland.
He studied horn with Luca Benucci in Italy and with Olivier Darbellay at the Haute école de Lucerne. He furthered his training through regular masterclasses with Bruno Schneider, and Thomas Müller for natural horn.
Pascal has performed as a soloist with several ensembles from the Lucerne region and is a member (or founder) of chamber-music groups including Ensemble baroque Notre-Dame, Mothertongue, and Kairos. He also plays regularly with orchestras such as Orchestre de chambre de Fribourg, Sinfonietta Lausanne, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and Berner Symphonieorchester.
Alongside music, he has studied political science and global ecology and has been active in these fields for several years—an outlook that enriches his approach to crossover repertoire.
