Biography
Lithuanian clarinetist Jonas Morkunas has built an outstanding career through advanced studies and extensive orchestral experience. He holds a soloist's diploma from the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, where he studied with renowned clarinetist François Benda. Jonas has performed as solo and bass clarinetist with orchestras including the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic. In addition, he has gained recognition at international competitions and performed as a soloist and chamber musician at prestigious festivals such as the Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Music Festival and the Festival Musikdorf Ernen.
