Italian lyric tenor Francesco Tuppo, who began studying at 18, moves effortlessly between opera roles, operetta and touring productions.
Francesco Tuppo, USO tenor (voice), began studying singing at 18 and quickly launched an intense concert career.
In 2014 he was engaged by As.Li.Co. as protagonist in Milo e Maya and in Il giro del mondo by Matteo Franceschini, written for Expo 2015. The work had its world premiere at the Teatro Sociale di Como, with 120 performances across major Italian venues during that year. In 2015 he interpreted Oronte in Alcina by F. Händel in an itinerant production on the Isola Comacina.
Among further highlights: in 2016 he toured with EuropaInCanto as Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, appearing at venues including Teatro Argentina (Rome), Teatro San Carlo (Naples) and Teatro Regio (Parma). In 2017 he returned as Conte Almaviva with As.Li.Co. at the Teatro Sociale di Como, also working in the itinerant Figaro Opera Camion. In 2020 he performed Spoletta in Tosca with musical direction by Francesco Lanzillotta and the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonica Veneta, opening the Autunno musicale di Treviso series.
