Violino
Deolinda Giovanettina brings a rigorous violin foundation—plus concerto- and chamber-stage experience—to USO crossover work.
Deolinda Giovanettina, violinist at United Soloists Orchestra, began studying the violin at the age of eight with Susanne Holm and went on to earn her diploma in 2012 with Donatella Colombo at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Como.
She has taken part in orchestral stages with conductors including Nicolas Chalvin, Srba Dinić, Antonello Manacorda, and Bernard Haitink. In 2008 she won first prize at the Concorso Svizzero di Musica della Gioventù, leading to a performance with the orchestra of the Internationalen Preisträger-Treff in Disentis under Kemal Akçağ. Further training included advanced courses in Salzburg with Keiko Wataya.
In June 2014 she completed a Master in Music Performance at the University School of Music in Lugano with maestro Klaidi Sahatçi, receiving the notation “con lode”. She later founded the Quartetto Epos (spring 2015) and studied advanced quartet training at the Accademia Stauffer in Cremona (2016–2019). She also completed her MAS in 2017 at the same school.
Giovanettina has performed with ensembles including Ensemble Colibrì (Pescara), Festival Strings Lucerne, the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI), and Solisti di Pavia, collaborating with cellist Enrico Dindo, and has taken part in tours across Italy, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Croatia. In addition to her performing activity, she teaches at primary schools, teaches violin, and gives chamber and solo concerts for private organizations.
