Alberto Maggiolo

Alberto Maggiolo is a pianist/keyboardist with United Soloists Orchestra, joining in 2026.

He began studying piano at the age of five. In 2002 he was admitted to the Conservatorio C. Pollini of Padua with M° Tania Salinaro, studying with M° Stefania Jienescu, and graduated in 2012 with the highest marks and distinction. In 2012 he entered the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana of Lugano, studying with M° Alessandro D'Onofrio and M° Nora Doallo, and earned a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy.

As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed across Italy and Europe with a repertoire ranging from classical and contemporary music to jazz and Argentine tango. He co-founded the piano duo Arc-en-ciel piano duo and the chamber groups Cafè de los Tanos and Astor y Amigos, fostering a passion for Italian and international folk music. Between 2015 and 2020 he collaborated with the Teatro Sociale di Como and the Circuito Lirico Lombardo as collaborative pianist/chorus master and took part in productions including Verdi’s Falstaff and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, as well as La Traviata. In the same period he was also a pianist and harpsichordist with orchestra 1813, performing in productions such as Il barbiere di Siviglia, Turandot, and Carmen.

For USO’s crossover work, Maggiolo brings a versatile keyboard palette—classical, contemporary, and folk—shaped by opera rehearsal experience and chamber collaboration.
