Biography

Sara Signa, a violinist of Lucanian origins, graduated from the Conservatorio di Musica Gesualdo da Venosa in Potenza with top honors under the guidance of Aldo Matassa. She then continued her studies at the Imola Academy and at the G.B. Martini Conservatory of Music in Bologna, where she obtained her degree in Chamber Music with the highest marks and honors. She considers chamber music a privileged space for human and artistic contact, a laboratory of invaluable communication. She regularly performs in various ensembles. She collaborates with Italian and European orchestras and is the leader of the second violins in the ensemble of the Lucanian association MATE' Solisti Lucani, curated by Laura Marzadori. She perfected her studies at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland with Alessandro Moccia, obtaining a Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance and Interpretation. At the same Conservatory, she obtained, under the guidance of Anna Modesti, the Master in Music Pedagogy, which allowed her to acquire valuable tools and enhance her interest in pedagogy and her inclination towards instrumental teaching. She has taught at the Music School of the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland and is dedicated to teaching violin in Italy as well, promoting a constantly updated teaching model.
