Biography
Giuseppe Cima graduated in February 2011 from the "Vincenzo Bellini" Musical Institute in Catania under the guidance of M° Carmelo Fede. He subsequently continued his studies under M° Gioacchino Giuliano and participated in various advanced courses with internationally renowned teachers. From 2015 to 2017, he attended and completed the Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, while also taking the advanced training course for orchestra professors at the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan. In October 2016, he was engaged by the Teatro alla Scala for the realization of Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem Mass. From 2016 to 2019, he collaborated steadily with the Civica Filarmonica di Lugano. He has numerous concerts to his credit with chamber and orchestral formations, in which he has also performed as a soloist. He performed the second Brandenburg concerto by J. S. Bach with the baroque orchestra of the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland (2017) and the concert by J.N. Hummel for trumpet and orchestra with the Orchestra Vivace della Riviera (2021). He is currently a trumpet teacher at the Italian Middle School and is a member of various chamber groups and the orchestra of the Camerata Strumentale Siciliana. He has collaborated with the United Soloists Orchestra since its founding.
